Look, Mom! I'm knitting!

Well, kinda...

StringTheory2.0 says it's a compliment to me that she started with trying to teach me to cast on instead of casting on for me because she didn't think I could handle it. I choose to believe her, because the alternate is she's trying to drive me crazy as quickly as possible.

Don't let the smile fool you. I was swearing like a sailor. "In, sweep... shit!!"

The face of frustration...

At one point I dropped a stitch and let out a noise of frustration. ST2 was all "you just meowed when you dropped that stitch!" I wasn't intending to meow, but in retrospect, that is what it sounded like.

Keep on trying - if you can crochet, you can knit too. Knitting is far easier; hence I knit...

I just found your blog via Ravelry and I'd encourage you to keep on blogging!

That's pretty much what I looked like when I learned to knit. However, I didn't learn to cast on properly till last summer, so how did I cast on? By holding the needle between my thighs and doing the backward loop.

Classy.

You're doing great. And when you get frustrated, go back to your trusty crochet. ;o)
