I should have known that the first week of Lent was the easy part.
I was feeling so proud of myself for not being tempted at all... until this morning, when I got the email announcing the KnitPicks fall yarn clearance. Oops. Pride goeth before a fall yarn clearance.
It's okay though. I'm hanging in there. Mostly because my stash boxes are overflowing and I've got to get some of this stuff crocheted up before the cats eat it.

I did not resist. I already knew I "needed" (using the term loosely) 5 skeins of Swish DK for TECHknitter's Pocket Hat KAL. And I actually needed a 2.5 mm 32" fixed circ to replace the one I pulled apart a few months ago. (Well, I didn't need that ... since I just bought a whole set of 60" fixed circs to use for 2-at-a-time socks ... but I justified it by saying that my 32" set needed to be complete too, Just In Case.) And then I went crazy with 2 clearance colors of Wool of the Andes hand dyed, one for a Clapotis for me and one for a So-Called Scarf because my husband is a Buchanan and there's a Buchanan colorway. On these nutty justifications and the irrational desire to get free shipping is another $54 order founded. You need to not buy negative $54 of yarn to make up for me.
